Realization work not in sight. Requiring fire resistant minutes according to the NEN 6069. Calculations of the isolation thickness carried out by the supplier Reppel B.V. Dordrecht. This for approval of the management. b. The nodes of the beams and columns and the column parts connected to the fire resistant plates, also covered by fire resistant Mandolite CP2. c. Prior to the fire resistant sprayings, the application company should be guaranteed that the steel has been blasted in a correct way (SA - 21/2) and is provided with a proper corrosion resistant painting system. The corrosion resistant painting system should be checked on attachment and cement durability (Ph 12-121/2). d. The procession of Mandolite CP2 should meet the requirements and expertise of a specialized and qualified application company appointed by Reppel B.V. Dordrecht. e. All building parts with in sight should be protected properly for "overspray".

Before you apply HCA-WL you first need to apply a primer coating, preferable a HCA primer. Other primers based on epoxy- or sink phosphate can be used as well. Damages in an existing primer coating need to be repaired before applying HCA-WL. When applying a coating on thermal sink steel you should use an appropriate wash-primer. When applying on old paint coating please contact Flame Guard. A blasted subsoil is ideal for applying a HCA primer. Dependent on the smoothness of the surface a coating of 50 - 100 g/m2 needs to be applied on the steel, preferable in a cross coating. Take account of a drying time of 24 hours, before applying the HCA-WL. Using HCA-WL: We recommend to carry out the application with airless equipment and to apply 2 or 3 coatings of HCA-WL. Applying with brush or paint roller is an option, however it takes several labour courses. It is possible to apply the top coating HCA WL with a HCA Topcoat, for a better effect of the paint cover, or for the finishing touch apply a coloured version. Take account of a drying time of 8 hours in between the coatings, at a temperature of 21 C and 65 % RL (one night). If desired apply a top coating HAC Topcoat on the HCA WL. Finishing with HCA Topcoat: HAC Topcoat serves as extra protection of HCA WL at a high atmospheric humidity, it protects against extra pollution of dust and it obtains an increased finishing degree. HAC Topcoat kann be applied with an airless spray, brush or paint roller, and a quantity of 100-200 g/m2 HCA Topcoat can be applied in one single coating, after a drying time of about 2 days for HCA WL. HCA Topcoat is available in every RAL colour.

The thermal conduction coefficient of the isolation material is expressed in Watt/mK. It is an effective value derived from fire tests and can be applied for a practical temperature course. In this situation it is effective because we choose for a global calculation method.

The section factor is determined by the geometry of the cross section and in which way it is exposed to the fire. In this program we distinguish three- and four sided kinds of heating, see NEN 6072 art. 10.2.1.2 and also the book Spanned Steel, Constructing A, Chapter 5. In addition integrated beams are calculated. BRAWESTA calculates the steel temperature of these beams based on the section factor of the under flange, see also 5.6 of Constructing A. For the ordinary sections the program provides a calculation of the section factor. For special cases the section factor can be entered separately, Select "Different calculation method ". For example the tube sections. These sections are NOT registered in the section file. The section factor of (not thick walled) tubes is: 1/d [m-1].
