The Column-Base connection – an end plate welded to the end of the I-shaped column section and attached to the concrete foundation plate by anchors.
Some points requiring attention:
The Column-Base connection is always symmetrical and has one or two anchor-rows. In the case of two rows, both of them are placed inside the column section or outside of it. Certain stiffeners such as Web plate, Column Stiff, Beam Stiff, Back plate or Console cannot be applied to this type of connection.
