1D-Beam

This basic module contains a linear elastic analysis of forces and displacements of 1D-Beams with free positioning of supports.

Geometry:

 

Loads and Loads Combinations:

  • Uniform distributed -, trapezoidal-, triangle- and concentrated loads on members
  • Concentrated- and nodal loads at an angle
  • Equal and unequal temperature loads, imposed deformations and self weight
  • Loads can be grouped into load cases. These can be combined into persistent, accidental, characteristic, frequent, quasi-permanent and mass load combinations

 

Results:

  • Linear elastic analysis
  • Forces and displacement per field
  • Envelope for bending moments and shear-forces
  • Supports can be dragged with the mouse interactively after which the results are available at once
  • Support reactions with a check on the sum of the loads and the sum of the reactions

 

Troubleshooting:

1D-Beam is entered as one beam based on one or several supports. So it is not divided into members defined for every separate support.
