Example: 3D-Frame dynamic analysis

In case of a 3D-Frame dynamic analysis the distributed load in X direction is automatically converted into 3x2 nodal loads in X-, Y- and Z-directions, generating three related Eigen forms:

1) A castellated H-shape HE320A/465 at certain position has a cross section area from 1,1042e-02 m² and density 78.50 kN/m³ , which result is a distributed load value of 0.87 kN/m.

2) Then mass center of member is calculated as:

Distance value is distance between two adjacent member nodes.

 

3) The nodal load for each node is calculated by formula:

 

qk * distance/2 = 0.87*6/2 = 2.61 (kN)
